2007 Gold Cup

The 2007 Gold Cup has kicked off in North America hosted by the United States. Twelve teams are competing to take home the Gold Cup. The Gold Cup consists of teams only from North America that make up the CONCACAF FIFA nations. Teams had to first go through a qualification round in order to make it to the group stages of the Gold CUP. The United States will be looking to defend their Gold Cup crown from 2005.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup was established in 1991. It is held normally every two years, but there have been exceptions. It has been won 4 times by Mexico, three times by the USA, and one time by Canada. It has been hosted every year by the United States and twice co-hosted by Mexico.
